Florida

Are you looking for something completely different and exotic? The Florida APT covers over a thousand miles from The Panhandle south to Big Cypress National Preserve, to the Everglades National Park, and to Fort Pickens at Gulf Islands National Seashore. This is truly a region where it is sometimes too difficult to delineate between where the water ends and the land begins.

What? No wildlife in Florida? Bobcats, wild turkeys, bluebirds, quail, kites, wood storks, short-tailed hawks, endangered red-cockaded woodpeckers, deer, alligators, the Florida black bear, feral hogs, and the Florida panther are some of the many animal species that live in Florida’s diverse ecosystem. Florida, being the southernmost region of the lower 48, has its own unique climate and ecosphere.

Looking to do some APT hiking to ward off the cold winter blues. We got it covered! Hiking The Sunshine State provides year round recreation with short commutes to The Atlantic and Gulf Coast.
